Bethel, NY is better known as the home of the 1969 Woodstock festival. We visited the site just a week before the 40th anniversary of the show
We're about where the stage was located looking out where the audience sat. The building in the backgrouond behind me is the current Woodstock Performing Arts facility and museum commorating the concert. Behind Pat, across the road, is "backstage" where the performers hung out and where their helicopters landed.
This is a closer look at the Arts center and the stage area. On the right is the plaque that was erected shortly before we arrived to mark the location of the festival. |
